Today F1 Insight has a look at its relationship to our new F1 news partner, Formula 1 Sport dot net. This arrangement is mutually beneficial for both sites and the readers and we are very pleased with the way things are going so far. More is planned for the near future and this blog will keep you updated.

While we're on the subject, take a look at Formula 1 Sport and its coments over the last two or three days. There are some great conversations developing in there and you could join the throng!

Andrea writes about bird omens for Why Keep Dogs and Bark Myself? and tells us of a curious phenomenon she noticed in this connection on her personal blog, Nedfulthings. It really looks as though people search for the strangest things on the internet...

What Else is New? August 30 2007

Thursday, August 30, 2007

Well, naturally F1 Insight has its daily post and this time it's about the enjoyment of motor racing itself. F1 enthusiasts are a different breed from most fans and delight in all the complicated processes that surround the sport, as well as the races themselves.

Andrea has a wry look at little boys' fascination with small creatures in Why Keep Dogs and Bark Myself? She is talking from personal experience as usual and tells it as it is.

Rollo's News-sense has a look at the case of Senator Larry Craig's arrest and finds much to be concerned about. We have heard of arrests based on flimsy evidence but this one really seems to be a matter of opinion and little else. No wonder Rollo gets a bit steamed!

Meanwhile, I discovered a great blues harmonica player on YouTube and wrote about him in MusicGeeks. If you like the blues, have a listen - you won't regret it!

Global Warming Trends takes a look at the statistics for scientific papers published for and against man-made global warming and finds some surprising facts. If you thought there was a general consensus amongst scientists, it seems you need to think again!

Then you could find out about credit card defaults on Minding Your Money. It may be a depressing subject but hey, somone has to keep an eye on it...

On a lighter note, G.A.L.S. - Get it All for Less has a story about a beauty pageant entrant bitten by a rattlesnake. Help arrives in the form of yet another of these beautiful ladies - a real life Miss Congeniality!

Over at Global Warming Trends, Andrea has written about Patrick Moore's criticism of Leonardo di Caprio's film, The 11th Hour. As a co-founder of Greenpeace, Patrick should know what he is talking about and he makes some telling points.

F1 Insight is updated every day (except for the occasional Sunday when exhaustion takes its toll) and today's post looks at the performance and prospects of Super Aguri's Anthony Davidson in his first full season of Formula One. With the team in financial difficulties, things do not look too bright for the young driver, particularly in view of his atrocious luck in the races.

Have a look, too, at Formula1Sport, which has several up to date news items as well as some lively debates in the comments system.

A Return to The Other One

Tuesday, August 21, 2007

This is actually an ancient blog that I set up so that I could comment easily on Blogger blogs. It then occurred to me that it could be used to direct any lost souls arriving here to the safe haven of my real blog, Gone Away. As you can see from the previous posts, it took me a while to get used to Blogger's strange ways but I got it right in the end.

Today I had cause to return to this blog and had some difficulty in getting in. Things have changed since I last was here (many moons ago), it seems. But again I managed it in the end and am now taking the opportunity to update a few things. My personal blog remains as it ever was, a bit prettier and more functional (design and coding by my son, Mad) but many more have been added since and I thought I'd give you the opportunity of choosing which you would rather visit. Here's a list with brief descriptions:

F1 Insight, which deals with all matters to do with Formula One racing in depth. Even if you don't care for motor racing, have a look at my son's design - it's ultra-cool!

MusicGeeks, a blog dealing with popular music past and present. Again, this one is designed by Mad and you might begin to notice his design philosophy running through each of them. My wife also posts to this blog and her tastes are slightly different from mine, which gives us a broader reach.

Formula 1 Sport, a news blog dealing with Formula 1 racing. I recently accepted an offer to write for this existing blog - it differs from F1 Insight in that it deals mainly with news as it happens whereas Insight is centered more on opinion.

Those are mine for the moment (more to be added soon) but there are also my wife's blogs that might interest you:

Nedfulthings, her personal blog and a testimony to her writing talent. If you like good writing and a very individual view on life, have a look at this one.

Rollo's News-sense, a wry look at the news through the eyes of Rollo. Definitely one for those who enjoy the stranger stories in the news.

Minding Your Money, a look at personal finance, how best to handle it and financial news that affects us. Perhaps I should have warned you that my wife is endlessly versatile!

Global Warming Trends, dealing with the latest news in the global warming scare.

Why Keep Dogs and Bark Myself?, a mommy blog with a difference. If you're bringing up children, this one will get you laughing.

G.A.L.S. Get it All for Less looks at bargains in fashion, make up and just about anything else girly!

Surely you can find something to interest you in all those! Enjoy!
